This photograph has a strong painterly aspect to it - beautifully composed and perfectly lit. With the blocky, hand lettered type, for me it marks the visual transition between Sound As Ever and HiFi Way. It also captures the nostalgic fragility of the song itself. Was it ever produced as a poster?
no no poster. I think it was shot on polaroid neg, the whole shoot looked really gritty.
